As part of the Living Canvas public art initiative for IPUT Real Estate, Where Glass Meets Water transformed the two-story glass structure atop the newly developed Tropical Fruit Warehouse in Dublin into a monumental projection surface. This temporary installation combined innovative display technology with striking digital art, turning the building itself into a living canvas. Using eight 20,000-lumen projectors, we rear-projected onto the glass from within the building, spanning both stories to create one seamless display. The key to the effect was the use of smart film applied to the windows—allowing the glass to switch from transparent to opaque at the flick of a switch, enabling high-impact visuals without compromising the building’s daytime aesthetics. I was heavily involved in the technical delivery of this project. I built the full portable rack system that powered the entire setup, including primary and backup media servers, HDBaseT signal distribution to the projectors, and remote switching for the smart film. I also programmed all content playback timelines and scheduling using Screenberry. In addition, I was part of the team responsible for rigging and cabling the projectors on-site, ensuring precision alignment and stable performance throughout the installation.
