Google Engage was a large-scale internal event hosted at the RDS in Dublin, bringing together employees from across the globe. Our team contributed to three major immersive installations, blending interactive technology with bold visual design.
For the main stage, I designed a custom LED screen pattern backed with mirrored panels arranged in a disco ball–inspired layout, creating a striking visual effect that responded beautifully to lighting and motion.
One of the standout activations was a life-sized, fully interactive Pac-Man game. Guests wore Pac-Man or ghost costumes and physically moved around a maze mapped onto an LED floor. I co-developed the game system using a custom Processing application, integrating real-time player tracking with a live overhead camera feed, which was displayed on a large screen above the maze. I also engineered the routing of multiple video feeds—including game graphics, camera input, and score displays—using MadMapper for seamless output across LED and control displays.
The final installation was a large-scale, Rubik’s Cube–inspired stage design, projection-mapped to create dynamic, shifting visuals. This project highlighted a balance of creative stagecraft and technical problem-solving on a tight timeline for a high-profile client.
