For the main stage at Dublin’s Forbidden Fruit Festival, we designed and built a large, fully addressable LED sign to be integrated into the lighting design of the show.
I was responsible for designing and assembling all the electronics, including wiring the addressable LED strips within each letter of the sign. I also built a custom control enclosure housing DMX-compatible LED strip controllers, allowing the lighting technician to integrate the sign directly into the show’s lighting desk for full control and real-time mapping.
In addition to electrical and control work, I assisted in CNC cutting the sign’s letters and LED channels, and handled the full internal wiring and power distribution. The result was a visually striking, programmable stage element that became an active part of the live show’s visual language.
