As part of a seasonal installation for the Solstice Arts Centre, I delivered a large-scale water screen projection on the River Boyne in Navan. The project served as a striking visual centrepiece in the lead-up to Christmas, captivating audiences with vibrant, animated content projected directly onto a mist screen over the water.
I was responsible for the technical execution of the installation, including content mapping on the dynamic surface of the water screen, configuring high-lumen projectors, and deploying media servers. A key challenge was ensuring the system could operate autonomously and reliably in an outdoor environment for multiple weeks without supervision. I designed and implemented a fully automated playback and control setup, ensuring seamless nightly operation with minimal maintenance.
